Migrating an Existing Website with ICOSTHost:
If you're transferring an existing website to ICOST Host, take advantage of our free migration service. Simply reach out to us by sending an email to info@icosthost.com or opening a ticket through your client area. Provide your old control panel login credentials, and our dedicated team will ensure a seamless migration process with no data loss or downtime.
To open a ticket:
- Log in to your client area.
- Click on "Open Ticket" from the top bar.
- Select "Support" as the ticket category.
- Use 'Website Migration' as the subject.
- Choose your hosting package under related services.
- In the message body, provide your old control panel login credentials.
Once the migration is complete, our team will notify you through email or the ticketing system.
Don't forget to change your DNS:
- Log in to the client area of your domain registrar.
- Navigate to Manage Domain > Manage DNS > Change Nameservers.
- Enter the nameservers provided in your account activation email.
Migration Completion Time: 48 working hours
Setting up a Brand New Hosting with ICOST Host:
Step 1: Welcome Email from ICOST Host
Upon completing your payment, you'll receive an account activation email titled "Your account with ICOST Host is activated." Check your inbox, and if not found, please look in your spam/junk folder or log in to your Client Area and click on Email History.
This email contains essential details:
- cPanel/Plesk login credentials
- Nameservers
- FTP account details
- Email settings
Step 2: Change your DNS
To connect your domain to your website, change your nameservers. If your domain is registered with ICOST Host, skip this step. Otherwise:
- Log in to your domain registrar's client area.
- Go to Manage Domain > Manage DNS > Change Nameservers.
- Enter the nameservers from the account activation email.
Step 3: Website Development
Option 1: Utilize ICOST Host’s Website Design Services - Explore our website design packages here.
Option 2: Upload Website Files through FTP - Follow our FTP tutorial for instructions.
Option 3: Build a New Website through a Free Website Builder
- For Windows hosting, use the Plesk Panel and click on Applications.
- For Linux hosting, log in to cPanel and search for Softaculous.
- Install your preferred website builder or CMS.
